Today was a pretty good day! My partner took me to an arcade for the first time ever. We had pizza, which wasn't like... stellar pizza or anything, but it also wasn't bad! It was also a buffet thing, so can I really complain? I got so full! And I also got chocolate ice cream and that was pretty good!!! Ate it so fast I had a headache multiple times alongside one specific tooth in my mouth being in agony because it's picky with temperature. I love chocolate so much!
I didn't win practically any games or tickets, but my partner did and got me two prizes! One is this stuffed green.... owl? And another one is a little yellow plastic turtle! I was so excited to bring both home and show Samson (my special wooden camel) he had new friends! And trust me, he was equally overjoyed to have them too!!!
Now I don't feel so strongly like I need to get him a wooden elephant friend. He has so many friends now, like Substitute, Owl, Turtle, and even a gigantic Cubone! It makes me very happy for him!!!
I also finally had my exam. It was before the arcade stuff, like right before. The woman I spoke to is on the fence between some pretty important diagnoses, so she wanted time to talk to her supervisor. They're supposed to call back Friday. We'll see if they do, I guess.
My new indigo GameCube controller is supposed to arrive tomorrow! I'm really excited for that since it's on-brand and official. I don't really mind third-party things or knockoffs and was even debating just buying replacement joysticks for my other controller beforehand, but my partner suggested I just get an official one. Y'know, one of those moments where you get what you pay for and all that. I have two cheap off-brand ones that are both broken in different ways. For one, the right trigger doesn't work. For the other, which was my main one, the joystick inputs became messed up after I swapped the rubber caps between the two, as I'd worn the ridges down a lot. I guess that was my fault, though. We'll see how well the new one was renewed though, as reviews tend to be either 'excellent' or 'this item came to me looking chewed up and caked in dirt'. I won't mind to clean it myself so long as it functions fine though. (But I will be mildly upset if there's no expected logo in the center or on the back...)
And on a final note, I don't think I mentioned this before yet, but one of the things my partner got me for the hoildays was the Castlevania Anniversary Collection from Steam, which I am so so thankful for!! I still haven't started but I am bursting at the seams to play!! And I will definitely start it when I get up tomorrow so long as nothing else distracts me first!
